Wiper cowling

I found that my wiper cowling doesn't fit snugly with the windshield in a couple of spots (mostly the right side). It's deformed up and presumably letting water into the engine bay and the cabin air filter area. Is there a place to get new ones or do I just have to go to a scrapyard and find better fitting ones? Which years are applicable?

I have 3 sables, none fit, non issue. It was not inteded to keep seal water tight to the glass.

See pic, the water just drips off the glass into the trough and drains out the ends. Over the air inlet and filter, the rain hat deflects the water away from the filter/air inlet. All 3 of mine have rain hat extensions as in the pic. 1 came with it, 2 I got from the JY. Would not leave home without it. :lol2:

Just my experience.

Check under that carpet though, for a different possible leak from the air conditioner drain!!

Rain hat extension issue ended with 2004.

I am planning to replace the two pieces of cowling below the windshield because the soft "edge or lip" of the cowling has deteriorated and broken off in places. New cowling is about $120 for both pieces. Is there a way to replace just the "edge"?
The rest of the cowling is okay.
Apparently the cowling is clipped on and just leans against the windshield without silicone.
The emails in this thread refer to pictures that I can't see. I wanted to see what this "rain hat" is. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
