where to start?

02 Sable wagon. Just got back from a trip to Indiana from Maine with the new to me Sable. Several electrical issues surfaced along the way. First the radio turns itself on once in a great while, secondly one time upon starting the car nothing worked other than the car ran and it shifted okay, and last the car now thinks a door is open. I had to take out the interior and mirror bulbs so they wouldn't be on constantly, also the key chimes any time the key is in it and not turned to run.

Anyone have an idea where to start?

^ Jim, dunno about the haunted radio, but may try spraying each door latch (incl. the back latch) liberally with wd-40 for the mysterious lights/chimes.

^ +1 on the WD-40 on the switches. I have the haunted radio syndrome, it eventually saw the light and went to the other side. Your trying to lube the gray switch in the picture by spraying lube in the lock levers. It take a while but it works. If it doesn't work the switch is replaceable but tough to get to it.

Better yet, go with the CRC Contact Cleaner. The stuff is magic.
