First off, I'm new to the forums so forgive my noobness. I own a 1998 Ford Taurus SE. Anyways, I was cleaning out my trunk and remember reading about some Taurus having Mach Systems. So I was checking my rear speakers and they are just Ford speakers. It respect to that, I noticed the extra 6x9 Speaker opening that has been spoken about on multiple occasions on the forums. Now, I'm confused on a couple of things here.
1. I'm wanting to add a 6x9 to fill the speaker hole. I bought some Quick Splice Wire Connectors so that I could just tap off of the OEM Speakers. Will this work out ok?
2. How do you remove the read deck to get to the top half of the speakers from the interior? I've read about removing the speaker grills but nothing about adding the speaker. Do I have to remove the whole back seat assembly to do so or is their a quicker/ easier way of doing this?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance- Sorry if all the above questions have already been answered. I have searched for hours only to get mixed results.
