Hi folks. First actual thread so bear with me here. I have a 2000 Ford Taurus LX. It was a gift and it's been through it's share of mishaps. That aside, here's my dilemma. I believe it started when I unwisely left my driver's window down in a rain storm. Only for an hour or two, but moving on. The following day, my windows didn't work. Replaced the drivers window control, still the problem persisted. Looked in the grommet between the door and cab and found the main power wire, the blue wire, had split entirely and was no longer connected. Taped it back together and now only half the windows work using the drivers controls. When I use the live wire and connect it to the corresponding wires to make the windows rise and lower, they work perfectly, but it's becoming a nuisance. Would any of you happen to know what is causing this? Drivers side window goes down, won't go up. Passenger's side works fine. Rear driver's side works fine. Rear passenger's side wants to go up but won't come down.
