Bought a Kenwood. Hooked it up. When I would change anything on the receiver, (i.e. channel, cd, cassette, etc.) it would make a popping noise. I never had this problem with my other stereos. I have a changer and amp hooked up to this system. Would anyone have an explaination other than a bad receiver???
Thanks
Joe

I have never had that problem with any of my Kenwoods. I don't have any ideas of what it could be.

I appreciate your input!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't this happen to my other stereo that I tried to install??

Does it happen only when you turn on your car?

I re-read the post, yeah I am willing to bet that your MOSFET amp is blown, though I'm trying to think. If the speakers try to reproduce sound that they arnt supposed to, ie. really low or really high, then your internal amp is blow I would say.

The only time it doesn't pop is when I first turn it on. It does give crackling noise when I turn it up to a certain level. I reinstalled a previous receiver and everything is fine.

Yeah its the internal amp, the crackling noise is from having not enough power.
