Welcome, man there is a lot of possible issues. I'm assuming play with the cables meaning the battery cables. The rattle could be a lot of things and is hard to diagnose without telling us where you hear it from. The shut down could be if the cables are lose or not making connection. On the battery is shocks the charging system causing the car to shut down. Is it a rattle or a squeeking noise? A bad cam phaser can cause a squeaking noise on acceleration and if the rotor in the phaser has play can cause a shut down. Could be a bad starter pinion sliding down on acceleration and kicking the flex plate to. What engine do you have? 8th vin. Number s or u?

If you haven't done so already, please edit your user information to show what kind of car and what engine you have. If you have a 3.0L specify which one, the 12v OHV Vulcan, the 24v DOHC Duratec, or the 24v Yamaha DOHC(Gen1-2 SHO only)! That helps other members with any questions you might have about your specific car.

The search feature will be your friend around here as most topics/issues/modifications have been covered at some point(with exception to brand new models, but that builds daily!) , most times with the resolution to the issue.
