Did you need anything replaced or just a software fix? I wasn't sure if it just happens from time to time or if something may actually need to be looked at or fixed at the dealer.
Had this happen to me yesterday after work. After some research I see that it is a problem with all types of Fords. Today it is working fine. Has anyone been able to come up with a solution for a fix? I have seen some people blame it on the remote starter and have that removed. I did not use the remote starter yesterday so not that confident that it has to do with that. Some say a master reset fixes the issue and others say it doesn't. I see that that the last response to this post was almost a year ago so hoping that a solution has been found.
I have a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL. I saw a similar case on my car. When I started the car, the screen show a message that said "911 assist fault". Contact the dealer for service. Then, after that, the entertainment system was unavailable. On the dash is said "Audio Off". On the entertainment screen is said "entertainment unavailable". Turning the car on and off(quickly) had no effect. After turning the car off for over a 1/2 hour cleared things up.
I’ve been having the same issue on my 2014 Ford Taurus limited. Took it to the dealership and they quoted me for a whole new radio assemble for $783 Is there a more cost effective fix to this issue or should I pay for the parts from ford?
