If not marked with an "R" and an "L", you'll have to check when you remove the drum. R=pass. side. L=driver side. R & L do not denote thread, lol.

As I recall mechanism, the "L" shaped lever pushes upward on the star wheel when the parking brake is applied to adjust the brakes.
The passenger side should use the left hand threaded adjuster, right hand thread on drivers side.

Recheck your logic. See pic, the lever moves down with spring tension to tighten the star wheel. Opposite of loosening with the spoon to get the drums off.

Best look at what is on the car and put left hand back in left hand that comes off the car.

I prefaced my argument "If I recall.." because I ditched my drum brakes in favor of rear discs.
Hopefully this will help.

 

As I mentioned above, most starwheel adj. are stamped "R" (pass. side) or "L" (driver side). Dunno if Rockauto's offering is.
