When removing a power adapter from the cigarette lighter, the exposed part of the lighter came off with the power adapter. The other half of the lighter (I'll call it the "interior part") now hangs by its wires inside the flip-out console housing. (The flip-out console (if this is the right word) is located directly in front of the floor-mounted transmission shift lever.) I know that the exposed part of the lighter needs to be screwed into the interior part. The problem is that I can't figure out how to hold the interior part while I thread the exposed part into it. I tried pulling the interior part through the hole in the flip-out console but it seems to be too large.
How can I repair this? If needed, how can I remove the flip-out lighter console to allow access?
Thanks,
Don Culp
