My '97 Sable sedan makes a new "trapped water" sound as I'm driving. I hear it most at low speeds, when road noise is minimal.
It's not regular -- like the loose strut boot I've gotten used to hearing -- but can crop up between bumps, as if water is trapped somewhere and hitting walls. Fuel tanks used to make that noise until they rounded the sides.
Are there any areas in this car where drainage can be a problem? (We've just gotten past the autumn leaves season.)
