I drive a 2004 Ford Taurus and one night when I came out from a party (I'm in college) my mirror had been broken off, but was still dangling by the wires. The next day I had to go to work and I didn't have enough time to figure out how to get the door pannel off to un plug the mirror so I just cut the wires. Well ever since then none of my windows work, my interior lights don't work, the other mirror doesn't work, and my moon roof doesn't open or close. I tested ALL the fuses under the hood and under the dash and they all came back good. Any suggestions on what the problem is? I really don't wanna take it to the dealership to get fixed. Its starting to get nice out and I want to be able to roll down my windows!!! Please help!

Something didn't short out did it? You can buy a replacement mirror from a 96-07 model it just may lack the heat or lighted option. E-z to change too.

Did you drive home (how far?) on the party night?

If so, and if it was more than 5 minutes, you might pull the door panel and see if the dangling mirror yanked on the wire harness in the door, possibly messing up contacts in the armrest switches and/or in the articulating electrical connector at the door hinge.

If the mirror harness looks pulled, also check the door harness wires carefully along their length(s) to see if the tugging and vibration might have worn some wire insulation through, allowing bare copper to rub against metal door components.
