anyone ever do a headliner on a '95 sedan?

I'd like to try to do this on my own, can anyone give me any advice on what to do to remove the headliner/backerboard (completely out of the car).
Mine is torn/falling down near the rear window, looks like hell.
I can remove the liner from the backer-board on my own, plus brush the glue/remaining foam of afterwards.

this, and a tear in my drivers side leather seat are my only interior issues.

don't know about 95 gen2

I have done this before on previous non-bull car
& I think I did have the headliner out on my gen3 but don't remember why

so these are generic instructions:

1.) remove plastic moulding all around from a - b - c pillars
may involve un-bolting seatbelts @ the sliding shoulder attachments

2.) remove dome light & sun shields

3.) remove headliner from car

4.) remove fabric from cardboard & scrape off decaying foam from cardboard
try to get as much off as possible (important to get a good glue bond)

5.) for glue I used home depot / paint department / quart can of contact cement

6.) I don't think I re-used the original fabric but don't remember

might have just gone to a fabric store & looked for 2x2 yards of something close

need to use your best judgement

hope this gives you some ideas

have also done leather work on my gen3 seat
but this is a much more involved project

if your serious about this
my advice is to go look for a usable temporary seat at a JY
while you are re-building your original

took me months for the full tear down & rebuild / hand re-stitch

for me it was easier to bond fresh leather hidden on the back of the panels
rough side -on- rough side with silicone RTV & stitch the 2 together
than to try & find a color match.

I still use them in the house on stands -
never did let the JY take my Gen3 front seats

I wasn't going to try the seat repair, just the h/l. (An upholstery shop would patch the leather panel after I take the seat out).
I have no problem with the car being out of commision while the seat is out - I have other cars to pick from.

Dropping the h/l is something I think I can do, but I'm hoping for pointers on how to remove what I understand will be a delicate board from the car without folding or breaking it after I drop it.
