July 2011 my 2003 Ford Taurus had to have its starter replaced; yesterday May 16, 2013 my car would not crank so I'm thinking it's the battery (bought new one Sept. 2012) or alternator. Car is towed to shop where the July 2011 new starter was put in my car. After my car was towed to the July 2011 shop the owner called telling me I needed another starter. Does this make sense to have 2 starter replacements less than 2 years apart? I did not have to pay for today's starter since Autozone replaced it for free.

I feel your pain! I had to replace 3 AZ lifetime starters on an in-law's '98 Windstar in less than 2 yrs. "Lifetime" only means so much when you're lying on a snow-covered driveway in subfreezing temps., lol! I avoid AZ like the plague for elec. parts.
