Only possible related problem I've noticed: There is an intermittent whirring behind the dash that is unmistakable. A spinning cable encased, in need of lubrication. (terrible things, those cable driven speedo's) confirmed by a slightly jumpy needle.

Well, To keep it simple....
I bought the car with a little over 95,400 on it. Written in the bill of sale, and checked by me when I picked it up. It's been driven about 750 Miles and now I read 94K and change  . I watched the 1/10 marker turn in an increasing manner, and the mile and 10 mile rollers all go up normally.

Has anyone ever heard of this?! I have NEVER run into this kind of problem. Is the odometer driven by the speedometer cable in these? It's got me wondering if I actually bought a 93 with less than 100K... though it looks like it's got 30K on it...
