Hey guys, on Saturday July 31st, I met Xavier (Xmann01) when I went for a Chicago/Bensenville Intrepid meet. I ended up spending the whole time with him, but that's ok cuz he's a really cool guy! The bull ain't too shabby either :lol2:

So, on with the story...

After leaving Michigan City and stopping off at Highland to meet up with another person, we took off for Chicago. That was the worst driving experience I've ever had! Lets see, When we get into the Illinois line, everything was faster... I'm not used to millions of cars on the road in front of me so it was quite a shock. I almost got 10 times of creamed! A semi didn't want to let me in along with my "caravan party", and almost rear ended the guy I was following! I tried to merge but the semi wouldnt let me and ended up having his tires about 2" away from my mirror, and I know it was that close because I reached out and touched the tire. I was freakin' out! Then crazy drivers zipping in and out... oh man, I'm definately not used to that...

BUT! It all turned to gravy when we got to the dedicated meeting spot so that Xavier could join our small caravan... I was excited when I saw flashes of bright stuff, and then I saw the cute lil red bull pull up! :chili: Kick-ass y'know!?

So anywho... I found out, when he drives, he drives like a bull out of hell... Heres proof :

And then we get to the meeting place, and he pulls out the system. I'm in love B)

I gotta tell you... His rims are the SHIZNIT! Look at teh hotness :chili: :notworthy:

And to give you a little 'teaser' of LRB, here's one of the greatest shots I've done lol...
It looks like the bulls are plotting against the 'treps!

Looking good. Always nice to hear/see about members getting to meet up offline.

Xmann01, Car's looking great. Try using Jeremy's woolite/water mixture (6 water/1 woolite) and you can probably get that stain out it looks like you have in your trunk. That crap is amazing. Ha, a man after my own heart, love the box of fluids and cleaners in the trunk. Reminds me of my trunk (before the cargo net that is).

So who are the others in the pictures? I recognize Xavier from his picture on the site.

Looks like I forgot a picture...

Ok, everyone knows Xavier, the chick on the left (in the picture above) is his friend, and the guy in the red on the right is the guy I was following, his name is Steve.. hardcore dodge fan.

Then the other chick (in the pic below) is my friend Nicole, the one with the kick ass sunfire!

You will just have to learn to drive like a Chicagoer.  EVERYBODY speeds in Chicago.
It's funny that you mention that, i learned to drive and grew up driving in chicago and the burbs and now that i have moved away from there for about 8-9 years i don't fit into either place's driving style. I'm too fast and short tempered of a driver for the smaller town i live in now but when i go back home to visit the family i find i have to try to drive so i can fit in with the local drivers up there. Wish i could say i'm still as comfortable diving up there as i used to be but then i'd be lying B)

I don't mind driving in Chicago, but I miss driving in Indy. They drive fast, but Indy people are sooooo much nicer and more considerate.
Yeah i agree the speed isn't the issue for me it the lack of consideration and getting cut off with less then a few inches to spare that i hate about chicago driving anymore. <_<

Lol... thanks for the tip. But im not going to waste my time cleaning it. I have one from a mint bull that was wrecked. I took it out a while ago but just haven't put it in yet because I'd have to take the box out... needless to say that's a bit of work. (the box is really heavy & has to be positioned just right to come out) I have a solution for the box of fluids & other necessities, i'll post a pic of that later when I get around to doing it.

Thanks for the compliments.... :chili: I'm pretty happy with my car as she is... but there are just a few things I want to fix & do.

Oh yeah... the trip meter wasn't reset when I filled up. I just let it cycle along. BUT I'm not saying that I don't have a lead foot  Which I do... I also drive with the A/C on during the summer months. So that combination isn't so great for fuel economy. Not to mention my car was idling at the intrepid meet for like 3 hours. And before someone mentions it.... I know extended idling is "bad", but i've been doing it as long as I've owned the car (over 40,000 miles) and she hasn't skipped a beat. I do take drives on the highway regularly so as to clean up the internals / keep them clean from all the idling along with regular 3,000 mile oil changes.
