ok 4-months ago I got my flextube of the exhaust system replaced for my 99 Taurus (120k miles) in a trip to TN.

i noticed the new tube is only 2/3 the size of the old one (which was very old, might be the OEM), though the car sound is normal/quiet.

now check engine light OBD P0430 comes on, the P0430 print out says "probable" causes:
1. Cat convertor defective due to #2, 3, or 4.
2. Engine misfire.
3. Large vacuum leak.
4. Oil leak into exhaust valve guide seals, piston rings.

does the tube size have anything to do with that?
