Do you drive a mazda 3 with VVT? No, since your asking to fit these to a Taurus. Why would a completely different car fit a different car?

Modificatios to make it work? Just a simple engine swap.........nothing major (sarcasm).

The Duratec is an engine family, just the like the LS series engines.

There are many displacements, in cluding 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and technically, the V8 SHO motor is based on the 2.5L Duratec that was in the Contour and Cougar.

The header with the 90 degree bend is for the front bank (bank 2) on the Contour/Cougar. It should physically fit in the Taurus, but you need to either mod the y-pipe or have one custom built. The rear header (bank 1) will not clear the automatic transmission in the Taurus. It would need to be cut and reshaped at the collector.

IMO, the performance gain is not worth the hassle. The exhaust manifolds on the Gen 3 Taurus Duratec are not a bad design. The Gen 4 Duratec's rear manifold with the built in cat sucks.

These are a little closer, but again, not worth the initial cost and required modding....
