I'm having aproblem with the Window Washer on a 97 Sable.
The wipers work fine, but nothing happens when I activate the Washer.

I did the cleaning of the Multi-Function Switch, but no luck.
I then started testing the Fuse Box under the hood, at the Washer Motor Relay.

With the relay in place, terminals 3 & 4 had 12v DC.
Terminals 1 & 4 read 68 ohms, so the coil is good.
Now when I ground terminal 1, magically the Washer works.
So this rules out the Relay and the Washer.

I'm guessing that the Control Module is bad.
Does anybody have an idea where it is or have a picture of it?
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thanks

- Steve

The "control module" is most likely the General Electric Module, or GEM. It's not likely to be bad, as a lot of other functions would be out too. Most likely the multifuction switch is bad, as most Ford MFSs from the 90s were pretty much junk. Mine never worked right even when the car was new.

So if I wanted to test the connections on it, where would I find it?
