I bought a set of leather seats (conversion covers) from this ebay auction:

Here is the ebay auction.

They are for a gen3 Sable GS. I thought enough of the pieces would fit on my LS for it to be worthwhile, but I was wrong
You can see the information (including photo) on the auction until ebay expires it, which will be around the end of May. Please PM me (or post here) for specific picture requests or if you'd like me to measure something. I don't want to clutter the forum with pictures, if no one is interested.

This kit is from Classic Soft Trim. They make leather interiors for dealers to install where there is no factory option for leather, or the color isn't supported. This set is in Ford's Willow Green interior color used on gen 3 Taurus, Sable and Taurus SHO. It is designed to replace the original cloth, not go over it. Professional installation is recommended. See the Classic Soft site for recommended installers near you.

The rear pieces are for 60/40 split seats w/o the armrest. It has the seat bottom, left and right seat backs (the part that folds down) and the upper seat back (the part that doesn't fold down.)

The box label describes the front seating as "bench", but the front seat pieces are for discrete seats (I don't have a GS so I'm presuming it may mean front seats w/o a center console in between, perhaps for a collumn shifter version.) Each front seats comes with four parts: bottom, back, headrest and map pocket (mesh map/junk pocket on the seat back is replaced with a leather pocket.) There are also trim pieces to replace the fabric inserts in the front doors.

The box says the kit is for 97 Sable GS. The front pieces definitely do not fit on my LS. The back pieces fit as far as I checked, but would cover up my armrest

As you can see from the auction link, I paid $99 + shipping for this failed experiment. It's too bad because it was looking great as I test fit the rear pieces. (Note: these have never been installed, I just laid the pieces out in place to check for fit, and to be sure I received everything.) If you have the Willow interior like me, you know there aren't that many used pieces available compared to the other colors. That's why I took the chance on the set.

I'm asking $50 plus shipping. Shipping will not be cheap, it's a big box. It was $35 to get is shipped from FL to CO. If you're coming to RotB, I can bring it with me if you agree to take it off my hands first thing

Im very interested in those seat covers. I think they would look pretty sweet in my black sable. Im assuming it has it has all the peices for the backseat so that I still have the ability to fold down the seat? does it include pieces to replace the cloth on the doors as well? What would be an average price to have those installed?

It has all the pieces for a back seat with 60/40 split, but no armrest. That's one piece for the bottom and three pieces for the back: one each for the two seat backs that fold down, plus the outer piece of the back that does not fold down.

It has inserts for pieces of fabric that match the seat cloth. That is only on the front doors, at least on the gen 3 Sable. The front door has two separate pieces of cloth, one matches the seat cloth and the other lower piece is more like carpeting than cloth. There is a leather piece for the seat cloth part. All the "cloth" covering on the back doors is the carpet like material and there is no replacement for it in the kit.

Note that the door pieces are really just a piece of leather in roughly the correct shape that is the correct color. Installation of the door pieces involves cutting it down to final size and using upholstery tools to ram the edges in under the existing fabric.

I never got a price for installation, since I found it would not fit in my (LS) car.
