Hey -

I'm new to the forum, and am looking around for a 3rd gen: great cars!!

I may have the chance to buy a friend's '99 LX: it has cloth bench seat at the front.

I'm wondering: will the bucket seats bolt straight in if I found them? I know some 3rd gen cars were fitted with buckets but still had column gear change. Would I need to change the seatbelts?

The reason for the change would be so I could have leather, and there are plenty of cars in my local junkyard....

The bench seats and the bucket seats are the same seats.

The only difference is a stationary center console, vs. a flip/fold console that can be used as a seat.

It's four bolts and super easy to swap.

the seats are a pretty easy swap but depending on the year of the car you take the seats from you may have to swap the seat buckles over. all driver seats from 00 up have a manual adjustable lumbar support. some older 99 and earlier seats have power adjustable lumbar but the 99 seats i have in my sable are having troubles with the lubar and i cant figure out whats wrong. i guess what im saying is i like the manual adjustment lol
