I have a 1999 Taures with the DOHC motor and it doesn't matter or if it is sitting in place when you turn the wheels it makes crinky noise when the wheels are turned and only then. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated.
If it sort of sounds like a kid rubbing a balloon, it's likely the ball joints or outer tie rod ends. If it's more punk-ping-punk-punk, it could be strut mounts as joker81 says or just the spring rubbing. The latter can be temporarily removed by liberally spraying silicone lubricant at the top and bottom coils of the spring.
