Currently RockAuto only has these options:

A1 Cardone but it's Remanufactured. The picture shows the synchro coming with the sensor on top.

Motorcraft and it's new. The picture does not show the synchro coming with the sensor on top.

There are two different part numbers for the A1 Cardones, 30S2600L and 30S2600

I know enough to stay away from the Dormans. The question is, the remans, after the core is returned will cost $40. The Motorcraft is $95 and I would have to buy a new sensor for it (just to be safe)

Has anyone replaced with a remanufactured Camshaft Synchro? or only NEW synchros? Pros/Cons to them?

When I did one, dude went with the motorcraft syncro (for reliability), and the cheap sensor (BWD), since it can't cause big boom with your motor. Just so happened the BWD part was motorcraft with the part numbers scratched off.

Thanks. I ordered the Motorcraft Synchro and since the BWD sensor didn't exists and there was not much of a difference, I decided to go with the Motorcraft sensor as well. When it comes to such an important part in the ignition process, I don't feel like scrimping $5-10 on a sensor.
