Okay, I've been looking at some wheels lately for my Sable. A lot of the manufacturers say that they have "universal 5-lug". Then, they go on to list 5-100, 5-114, but NOT 5-108. Are they REALLY universal?
If they don't list your lug pattern, then its certainly is not universal. Most aftermarket wheels have 2 lug patterns - they can't fit anymore. The two patterns that the seller has listed are the most common for imports, however, so it will fit a long list of cars. Don't try to get caught up in the semantics of his description though - if they don't have 5X108 it won't fit your car.
Universal just means they have 10 holes drilled in each wheel, 5 are for 5X100 and the other 5 are for 5X114. It's not going to fit our 5X108, please save your money so you don't get burned.
I don't like how those "universal" wheels look with all the extra holes anyway.
By the way, my post was more of a sarcastic statement or pondering rather than a real question. But I appreciate everyone worrying about what I'm spending my money on.
