Hi,

Just a quick question.

Will 16" wheels from a 2002 Taurus fit a 1996 Taurus GL Wagon?

Yes they will.

Any Taurus wheels will fit on any other Taurus, with the exception of clearing brakes by doing something silly like putting 14s on a SHO.

As Twilight said, they will fit. But don't try putting the 15's from the 96 wagon onto the 2002. The 2002 needs 16" wheels or larger to clear the brakes.

No, just the 96.

I can probably get the 16" wheels at a reasonable price.

If it's a reasonable price, I would say go for it. Gen IV wheels on a genIII look pretty good IMO.

BTW, you can check ebay too. People are always selling genIV wheels, although many of them are sold individually.
