Got $1k in repair bills so far since just before xmas. 2005 five hundred limited. Doing both rear rotor, calipers, and pads, notice drivers side rubber cone, about size of golf ball, laying on frame. Can't screw back on. Just leave off?

Also, noticed driver side park brake hanging up. Freezing, freed up with wd40. Looks like big job to change because 10 other parts would break while changing. 16 years of Michigan winter and salt rust. Sooo, leave rubber thing off? Wd40 cable real good? And look for new car? Been posting 11 years here on this car, time to throw in towl.

Rear driver parking brake cable froze, but freed up with wd40, and wrapped whole front part of cable in gorrila tape in order to seal entrance of cable from snow and water. Pretty sealed. Too jerry rigged? gonna just fry new pads? Seems to release, but not as much as passenger Just need a month or three to save for .new car.
