Careful on the transmission pricing. Without a teardown, it's hard to give an accurate price. Sometimes, if the "hard parts", like the pump, or other mechanical parts need replacing, it'll drive the price up.

It sounds like a fair deal for the car you're getting, and things that have already been done to it.

I'm not sure of anyone in the Memphis area, although you could try posting to [email protected], or on shoforum, to see if anyone's in the area.

Thanks for the advice. I got to see the car this weekend and it was the BIGGEST PIECE ever... Every body piece had damage, the panels were broken inside, the moonroof leaked, reverse didn't work, the car overheated. Looking under the car there was 1 drip per second of antifreeze. It pays to check it out before you buy.
