Well, I was about to drive off yesterday, when I opened my trunk to put some stuff in it. What I realize is that I keep a lot of clutter in there
...

I took a mental inventory when I was driving and I realized I had:

-Jack, full size spare, 2 lug wrenches
-Toolbox, rackets, wrenches, and other basic handtools
-Rolls of electrical, scotch, and duct tape
-Spare fluids for the car (bottles of oil, tranny fluid, coolant)
-spare set of those thick rubber bumper guards (can't park without them in NYC)
-a couple of used boxes (keep the groceries from Costco organized)
-a bag filled with...plastic bags

-a package of those LED washer lights that I never installed
-spare signal lights, headlights, etc.
-a 2-foot long heavy pipe for...protection

-First Aid Kit
-Mini Compressor

So what do you guys keep in your trunk all the time? This might be contributing to my below than average fuel economy

I keep people in my trunk.

J/K, I have a set of jumper cables, the jack, lug wrench, and the donut. Otherwise it's pretty empty back there.

That's funny because I was just looking in my trunk the other day when my buddy and I were going to hook up my new sub and I thought that same thing.

I keep way too much crap in mine too. Good thing the bull has a huge trunk.

-12" Fosgate sub in bandpass box
-Socket set
-Misc. car care products
-Mini air compressor
-K&N cleaner
-New floormats I got for Christmas a year ago that I don't need
-2 Oil Filters
-5 quart jug of oil
-Normal donut spare and mini-jack
-Mid-size jack
-4 way lug wrench
-Rear spring I got with the car

I probably have some stuff in there that I can't think of right now. I live on campus so I have really no where to keep this stuff except in my car. So I guess my trunk is my garage in a way.

In my trunk, or lower compartment I should say, I keep 2 quarts of oil, a gallon of antifreeze, jumper cables, a flare, and one of those cans that inflates and temporarily seals a flat tire.

I keep my trunk stripped down and empty.

All I have in my trunk is my battery box, and that metal factory radio thing that the antenna plugs into(what is that anyway?). I took out the spare and jack and carpets and carboard. I even took off some plastic panels around the trunk latch. It may not look as refined or civilized, but I like it better this way.

You people scare me

Toolbox
Dremel
Trailer hitch, wires
Jumper cables
Then, all the normal stuff, ie, jack and tire (hidden, of course.)

I keep it as clean as possible, though. All of my friends keep extremely dirty cars, and the ride with them isn't extremely pleasant, so I like to keep my ride nice.

My trunk is almost bare since I want it to look nice and be ready for anything that I may need to haul. I do have a set of extra long jumper cables, a spindle of CDRWs and old rubber floormats to keep dirt from getting in the carpet.

I'm not proud of it.....but when I need to clean out my car real quick, I just throw everything in the trunk. Yes it's dirty, yes it's disgusting, but darnit, I'm too lazy to clean the thing out

Trunk- Doughnut, Jack, Jumper Cables, and Lug Wrench
Glove Box- Papers, pen, Old CDs
I keep a bunch of Magizines in the pocket on the back of the front seats.. I figure that if I am hauling someone around. They could look at a magizone or something..
Then my back seat is usually my locker.. (books, empty fast food bags, and junk)
