i guess ill post a few pics of what i did over this past weekend. i washed my car(first time in about forever, unfortunatly), i finished modifying my tails, and i made a grill cover for the front end. didnt get too many pics, but here are a few.

first off, the front grille... it is gutter gaurd mesh coated with silver rust-o-leum. total cost of this project, $15(and that includes the tools to do it. bought dikes, the mesh, the paint, and zip ties for that price), total time spent, 2 hours, including the 1 hour drying time on the rust-o-leum. and now, for the pic :)

i like it, and for $15 you cant beat it :)

now for the tails. these are 04 tails on my 03 SEL, they have been coated LIGHTLY in night shades, removed the tint on the white part, and then cleared. not many people notice, but i have had a few :) . again, a pretty cheap mod, and i think it makes a world of difference.

ok, looks like i might have to upload the pics of the tails to superford as well, ill do that tommorow :)

Looks great!!!

I did mine last weekend. I cost me all of $1.75 to do. I have the tools and paint sitting around. I also had to fix my fog lights and I had to take the bumper off to do them both (thanks Sal again for the info) I like how it turned out, but I think I am going to get the real stuff. I put my foglights behind it and it is getting too hot and melting.

Aluminum wont rust. Might fade though...

Sal
Mine definitely rusted, even after being painted. Which reminds me, it could use another coat of chrome (spray paint) right now. (97 SLO)

Anyone put it any on their GenII's? Not sure how I can get it behind the Ford logo up front.(SHO)

Looks good guys, I know I am glad I did mine a while ago as well. It's great that some $5 gutter mesh will look the same as the stuff they sell on ebay or autozone for $40-$50.

Well, hopefully I have my SHO bumpers tonight or tomorrow morning... I'm going to be making a mesh lightbar for the SHO, and I might get adventurous and try to make one for the GL lightbar. I'm going to be using .16ga flat stock non-galvie aluminum mesh, and I'm gonna hand fab it... here's a pic of the mesh I'm gonna use, and hopefully by sunday I'll have pics of the installed bumpers, and the new lightbar... assuming I can figure out a quick and low-cost method to match the paint for my car AND bumpers...

Why did you need to take the bumper off to install the fogs??
I got them on fine with it on but the left one wouldn't stay tight. So when I had the bumper off I made sure they were on good and pointing where I wanted them. I am taking it off to redo it in Alum. this weekend.
