when car is idling while in drive noise coming from accessary drive area like water pump is chewing up chicken bones, belt seems to have a lot of deflection, but when I put car in naturel or park noise goes away and belt deflection becomes very little.

I have a new pump and all the parts to do the bypass kit and flush on order.
Just want to make sure it is the pump and not something else.

take the belt off and spin it by hand. You should be able to tell if the bearing is shot in it.
