I think I have found my coolant leak if the water pump on the 1994 3.8l engine is locater under the drive belt. The leak can only be seen from under the car. Unfortunantly it was coming out as a fine stream where the gasket is located. Can anyone confirm this is the location as my manual does not show very well.

I have the same year and engine.

The water pump is behind (and connected to) the pulley in the center front of the engine. The belt does wrap over the top and right side of this pulley.

When you remove the water pump to replace its gasket (if that's the problem), also inspect its impeller blades for wear. If it's bad, replace either the impeller with one made of a material, like stainless steel, that's less subject to rust, or replace the entire pump with one that has such an impeller.

3.8 timing cover gaskets are also famous for leaking.
