in reading some of the other threads on removing the oil pressure switch a special socket was mentioned but it seems that it can be removed with a normal wrench.

also the plastic housing on top of the switch the wiring does not seem to want to come off .. is there a special way to remove the wire, or just give it a good yank?
thanks!

Should be a release clip to push (or pull) on the plug.
yep .. there is a black plastic clip atop the switch but it wont release, at least i can't release it by either pressing in on it or pulling on it.

i'l take a closer look at it, thanks.
