Ok I just pulled out my Plug for my VSS and My Wires that run into the plug the coating is burned off. Now I can not seem to find the ends of the plug to unplug the darn thing. Anyone got a picture of the VSS wire unplugged from a 98 Taurus. That way I can get an idea where this thing runs.

So I was in a hurry, I traced the wires back to a large bundle of wiring and decided to just cut out and replace the 3 inch section that had the coating burned off. I went to autozone got the proper gauge wire, removed the bad section and spliced in a new. Then used High Heat wire loam over top of the wire. All seems well now. I had thought my VSS had gone bad with the Speed O stopping and going and the shifting issues. Time will tell I guess.

Well Crap! After a test drive the speed o stopped working and shifting messed up again. Starts out fine but once it gets heated up everything goes bad. So Should I go ahead and replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor? Any suggestions welcomed.
