1992 Taurus here. Check engine light recently came on and getting two codes the first is power steering pressure switch open circuit and the second is VSS no input. I am figuring the PS pressure switch needs replacing but with no input to the VSS could it be either the sensor needs replacing or might it be more of a wiring issue? Car has 260,000 and have never had much problem with it until now.

I meant to add, speedometer functions just fine, cruise control works with no problem and transmission shifts fine (recent rebuild with only 1,000 miles on it so far)

I assume the PSPS code was from the KOER test? Did you give the wheel a turn at the dynamic response code? If you dont do this, it will set a PSPS code. Was the VSS code a CM code?

I can tell you that if all that is working your VSS is probably OK. Mine is dead and I have no speedo indication, car downshifts hard and cruise of course doesn't work LOL
