TL,DR I had to pull the connector, and the male pin (trans) broke off and is now lodged in the female (engine bay)

Is there a temp fix? Do I need that? And how can I get inside it? I have plenty experience de/pinning ford connectors, but I've never opened a trans.

Okay, so I've decided to replace the whole wire harness.
But i'm confused what the difference is between <'03, and '04>.
Everyone has the former listed for $50, but the later for a whopping $150! And the photos look the same!
So what's the difference? And what's with the price hike?

Difference is early CANBUS versus the old style. 2004 was a switchover year where a lot of the electrical system was modified and streamlined, lots of connectors and sensors changed.
