Does anyone ever pull off their valve covers and replace the gaskets just for regular inspections around here?

If so what are the torque specs for the bolts. I would be interested in doing the front bank mostly just for inspection purposes of how my oiling has been doing.

Any thoughts?

Edit had to change title to Valve Cover

Is that the acceptable range or does the torque vary per bolt?

I have the Vulcan btw

If the gaskets arent leaking, and the engine is running fine with no top end noises, there is no need for any inspection under the VC. If you had oiling problems, you would know it without pulling the VCs.

That is the torque spec range for the vulcan. You can reuse the gasket, but they suggest a slight film of rtv.
