I started to read what wikipedia had written about my favorite car, and I noted a few minor inconsistancies, mostly having to do with platform that the car was built on. Wiki stated that the Taurus used the same platform for all 4 origional generation, the D186. The D186 (2000-2007) which was a modified DN-101 platform. The DN-101 was used for the 1996-1999 cars. That is why structural anything from a 1996 car will fit structurally on a 2007 car. The 1986-1995 Taurus used the DN-5 platform. I know it is technogeek babble, but the inconsistency did bother me.

Y'all have a good one
