I have a white gen 2 SLO and I currently have money so I am investing it in an underbody neon kit. A friend of mine with a 1985 black Cougar got some for his car and they only cost him $40 for the neons and another $40 for the shipping and handling. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Also I can't realy decide on color, I was thinking blue or green, blue for the coolness but green for the local laws that I would be avoiding. As far as I know you cant see the tube and it cannot be flashing.
Any feedback would be helpfull I plan on ordering in a week or so.

White will match the car color, but in my honest opinion, it looks like florescent light. Any color goes with white, but between blue and green I would personally go green, just because you don't see it much. As far as the price goes, you pay for what you get. Look for lexan tubes, they don't break. That's about all I have to say

I have green streetglow's under my '95 GL. I paid $100 at pep boys, but you should be able to find something cheaper on e-bay. Mine do have a lexan tubes over the neon tube.

i have a street glow gold series neon blue undecar kit on my silver gen4. Looks good and you can get it for 150 or less if u can find it on ebay. Plus this kit comes with a switch so you can dodge the cops. hehe

P.S. According to a couple of state troopers I talked to no undercar kit no matter what color is legal. At least here in NY.

The best underbody kit(best meaning the brightest) is the Plasmaglow Platinum Series - the best price is from Oznium. I think it's $140 though, so it may be out of your price range...

I got a picture comparing the Plasmaglow one to a Streetglow Gold series somewhere...AH HA!

The third one from the right on both pictures is the platinum kit, the other three are SG gold series and it only has the front tube installed

Hope that helps

EDIT: forgot to mention the PG one only has the front tube on...

I'd double check the local laws on the green... i was told it was legal but then got pulled over and the officer, plus station said that green was used on ambulances in new york....luckily they bypassed the ticket because I was decent with the officer......

About the neons... I have chestnut colored, or something along the lines of a dark brown with a hint of purple or whatever in it.. currently I have two red neons on the inside. one under driver side and one under passenger side. All hooked upto a wireless remote. well would red look good on the outside as well on the inside. I am so confused on this right now. Everyone is telling me to go with blue or even green. green is a definit no no.
