i know this has been covered but my trunk is doing something wierd. when my sub is hitting, the rattling seems to be comming from under tha car around the bumper. any idea whats hitting and will dynamat fix that?

license plate ... if you push on the bumper in that area it goes away ....

Is your trunk rattlin' like two midgets in the back seat rastlin'? Mine does it too and I can't find where it is coming from. It is not the plate. It sounds like it is inside the trunk on mine.

I know on mine if the spare tire bolt and nut wasn't really tight that the metal in the bottom of it moved and rottled on some hoses below it. On the drivers side there's a flapper that rattles. And usually the bumper cover rattles a little too.

I install speakers and amps and subs and I've found what works the best is that insulation foam that expands. I use that all the time in a car that rattles. It's only like 4 bucks for a big can at Wal Mart in the home dept. and that can is much more than what you need. But spray a little bit in the crack where the sound is coming from and the foam will expand and hold the two pieces in place so they don't hit each other(causing the rattle). Just my $.02

I found that there was a little plate in the trunk latch/catch that worked itself loose, and was rattling for all it was worth. A little rubber cement put it back in place with no rattles.

thats not really the problem, it sounds like its comming from under the car but when i crawl underneath the car it sounds like its from the bottom side of the the trunk.

my evaporative charcoal canister underneath the trunk rattles. Yours probably does too.

Double-sided tape behind the license plate stopped my worries. Don't know what could be under the spare-tire carriage.

I used to have this horrible clanging noise coming from my trunk. Any time I'd accelerate, decellerate, or turn with any kind of speed would result in CLANGCLANGCLANG. Then I remembered I'd put a 3 20-gallon Co2 canisters in there, dropped them off at work, then the clanging stopped.
