Looks like I am going to be in need of a AX4N rebuild soon in my 98 DOHC SE. Anyone know a good shop? Thank you in advance!

One way I determine a good shop is how they chose the lift points when they first inspect your car. If they don't follow the correct lift points, they don't get my business. I have had shops in the past ruin the floor pan on a car by lifting it wrong.

One car (Porsche 928) I had taken to a shop (big national brand), started setting the lift points wrong. I yelled at them to STOP!! I told them they were doing it wrong. They literally cursed me to my face and hand pushed my car into the lot and told me to get out. That national trans business has never gotten mine and never will. I wrote the President of the company and got a reply that the manager was to apologise, which he never did.

Look very carefully into the warranty and what it covers. Then make a determination, based on on-line complaints, if the shop is reputable.

Hope you locate a good shop.
