I got all the parts and stuff for the cluster gear indicator lamps. However, the wiring diagrams are not making sense. According to the ford dvd I have 96-03, the taurus and sable with ax4n/duratec, had the middle connector for the cluster.

It is also showing that the TRS pins are identical for 96/97, but 98/99 are missing some. My question is, where the hell are the 96/97 TRS indicator wires going, if I don't have the middle conector in my cluster. This is not making sense to me. I rooted around behind the dash to see if the connector was there, but I didnt find anything.

Somone please explain to me why I have the wires, but no connector. I mean, they can't just go nowhere?

The last connector is located on top of the tranny below the throttle body. It is where on my '97 I tap into the reverse position indicator to turn my front clear sidemarkers into backup lamps.
