I have a 1992 FOrd taurus GL with about 89000 on it. I have had my transmission rebuilt by AAMCO and I am still under warranty and that is why I am concerned whether or not this is in fact a transmission problem. What happens is if I go on the highway for a drive and I go around 70mph when I get off my car will clunk into first gear and idle very high. If I turn my car off and wait a second and turn it back on the problem seems to be cured until I go back onto the highway. I am not sure what this problem is and any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, George
