I now have 91K on my Taurus gl, 1995. (damn she is getting old!)
Tranny problems have not come to bless me YET.
As we know it is the TRANNY that gives us grief. I know it is hard to really estimate, but is there any known life expectancy for this? I will add, I do not usually drive it hard, and have never had it over 85 MPH, and seldom drive that. I drive mostly in town. I also have the trans professionally FLUSHED every 30 to 35K miles. (bout time to do again)
I do have a friend (not a TCCA'er) who's tranny took a healthy after about 100K. Of course he drives his car like hell. His clutch packs all gave out, burnt.
Any thoughts on this?
