Hi folks, i'm rather ignorant when it comes to trannies. My fathers 2005, 130,000 bull has lost its ability to move, engine revs when put into gear, and park does seem to engage. its had regular maintenance, and fluid is norm. Showed no signs prior to malfunction. I read it might just a torque conv but i'm curious as to cause. I realize its prob norm wear, but just prior to it being driven * I dropped a bolt right in that area.* Could it have dislodged or lodged into something? I don't have access to the car til tues, is it worth the trip to look for such things or is it straight to the shop? I'm just hoping to save the old man a few $ b4 Christmas. Thanks y'all, Happy holidays
