Many posts and several pix cover metal fittings with a pair of plastic doodads sticking out from between the metal line and the metal connector body.
On our 1999 Taurus SE 3.0 standard, I find a (mostly) plastic one.
There's a (looks like stainless) thin retainer that pops off when its tabs are released revealing a thin (inner) single-piece plastic well, where the line goes, within a larger (black) body that screws into the plastic end-cap of the radiator.
Does the plastic "top-hat" disconnect tool do these?
Looks like there's room around the line for it to go in, but (of course) no clearance for the larger ones to get in past the radiator housing.
