How do you remove it? I have a cell phone, and dont ever plan on using the phone from Ford. SO, how do you take the things off of the back window, without wrecking anything, and what about the hands-free button up front on the headliner too?
I didn't get it. I think there was like one vendor and provider you could use with that thing and I didn't use them, so I didn't buy it. What I would like to do is integrate a generic mini plug type hands free kit into my stereo. That way I could use a car charger and jack in the hands free plug to get an integrated hands free solution.
yeah i just bought my car like 2 weeks ago, and it had the phone package, so i didnt order it, it just came that way. I really hate the looks of it on the inside and outside of the back window. Plus if and when i get tints, its gonna be in the way.
I have the phone package in my 2000. The antenna is held on by double sided sticky tape on the inside and outside, you could pry it off with a flat-head, but be extremely careful. Get a razor blade and some rubbing alcohol and the sticky tape will come off with no problem. You could just cut the hands free button off and tuck the remaining wire into the headliner, but that would be half-a$$, noone would know though.
My friend, Matt, had the intergrated phone on his 95 Intrepid. he just took the antenna off and left that black box thingy on there. when the tint was done, they just cut around the box.
hey do you still have the antenna, if you do would you mind selling it to me just the antenna not the little box, i have posted a picture to see what im talking about
