Tire size calculatorHey ya'll, I had this sent to me, so I thought i would pass it on, for those that come here asking about speedo changes and tire sizes. You put the stock size in, then you put the size you want and it shows you the difference; sidewall/ revolutions/ speed difference and such. Hope this helps. I know it did for me.

Thanks. Great detective work Holmes and Watson. Very handy tool. I made copies of both to put in my Taurus modification handbook.

If you have a mechanical odometer you will need to make the change. Speedo driven gears are available thru your Ford dealer for about $7-10. You need to know the tooth count on your existing gear and the old and new R&P ratios to get the right gear.
form a forum that will remain nameless.

I am not sure how to do it, but I hope someone else can "bring somemore light to this", because
how do you ajust your speedo so that it reads the correct speed?
IS a good question that I  (opps) hadn't even thought about until it was asked. Myk
