1998 SE Duratec.
Since it's Dual Overhead Cam, I naturally assumed it had timing belts. I went to Ford Dealer for routine maintenance and inquired on timing belt replacement. The service adviser looked in his book and it told him that the motor had to be removed and the entire engine disassembled to replace timing.
I naturally assumed this was just a dense service writer. So he asked a technician. The tech told me that it does in fact have a timing chain and not a timing belt. I made sure that he knew I had a Duratec and not a Vulcan. Still the answer was that it's a timing chain and not a belt.
Ooooooo-kayyyyyy
