I have 1996 ford station wagon with a 3.0 engine and a ax4n metric transmision. The problem is the transmission shift with a thud from 1st to 2nd gear unless I lift up from the throttle. Any idea whats the cause is? Help, its really annoying in traffic.
I have the 96 sedan lx, same issue, just changed the vss yesterday. didn't help, anyother ideas? Is there any adjustments that can be made? changed fluid and filter first, then the vss, no differance. any help would be great, I know it's gotta be hard on the trans.
is that a yeson there is adjustments that can be made? or should i just check/ change the motor and trans mounnts?
I saw the tread on the TPS, sounds a little touchy on adjustments, not too clear on which way to move it.
