Its time to give up on the Taurus. So I've decided to get an Impreza. Maybe a 2.5 RS or a WRX, I have not yet decided. I just can’t get the speed in the bull that I can get with the Impreza. Now that I have my loan app approved it will be a matter of week before I can get into my new five speed turbo equipped car. It was fun while it lasted and I hate to leave ford but until the build better vehicles I will have to choose the more exotic cars. Thanks for all you help over the year and I wish you all the best luck on moding your cars.

Good luck.

Just be warned you will get a**raped on the insurance.

Trust me I looked at the Evo VIII but coupling a $700 a month payment with 4x as high insurance is not the car that I want (or can afford). And speaking of insurance it will only be slightly higher than the Taurus with the 2.5 RS. The WRX will definitely put a dent in my fun. I’m thinking about a highly modded 2.5 RS anyways. That way insurance will think I'm getting a slow base model Impreza. The best part about this car though is that I retain the uniqueness. Everyone around knew me as the guy that raced his Taurus and that was really cool and unique. Now I will have a car that no one in my neighborhood has. I will love the opportunity of keeping the uniqueness that the bull gave me.

When I was your age I paid close to 2 grand a year on a 91 t-bird, and that was full coverage. At the time the bird was 9 years old. I pay about 2100 a year now on my 00 taurus, and I am a step 9 driver with no moving violations, and I am a 21 year old male. I can only imagine the insurance costs to fully insure an impreza wrx for a 19 year old. youre looking at around 3 grand easy. I dunno man, I am just telling it like it is. Do what you want, but trust me it sucks to pay for insurance when half the time it serves no viable purpose. its not something you can hold in your hand and appreciate, its a check for a couple hundred bucks you write a month (or however you pay your insurance).

Personally, I would stick with the beaters now. When youre older you can appreciate the nicer wheels, not to mention be able to realistically afford a really nice car. Insurance rates drop a good amount when you turn 25, at least in mass.

Thats why as much as i like my bull, I think I am gonna get a crappy winter beater and put the minimum (like 500 bucks a year) insurance on it. Save me cash as well as mileage on my taurus.

I am kinda rambling, its 2:30am and I have been studying finance for the past 4 hours. I just needed to get my .02 in.
