Well, after 107 years the last Oldsmobile will roll off the line today. Sad day in America.

Ok, everyone post your Oldsmobile Stories.

I remember my 1983 Olds Ninety-Eight Regency. For a 16 year old, who could ask for more. Sure it was big and drank gas, but it was a hell of a car.

Well good bye Olds. Granddad lets me drive his 98 oldsmobile regency whenever I am in atlanta. Prompt downshifting and that nice 3800 engine with Leather and all makes if a comfy highway cruiser. Adios Oldsmobile. Any idea what is happening with the last few models being made?

There's talk of Mitsu going bankrupt...and no one else willing to buy them out...

Actually, whats sad is that the last few Olds models were probably the best designs GM could make in the late 90's-early 2000 year. The intrigue was the best of the W-bodies IMO.

Also I pulled this article out of this mornings newspaper.

I liked the alero and intrigue. I thought they were pretty good cars for the $$.

Yes, I agree... Olds had the best looking GM designs in recent memory... I especially liked the Aurora... don't know why, it's always caught my eye.

I LOVE my moms Olds. I saw some pictures of an Alero concept calle the Alero Alpha. It looked awesome. It is very sad to see them go.

I was VERY sad about Plymouth because I loved the Prowlers. A yellow Plymouth Prowler is still my dream car. My god, I love them....

It's sad that GM killed Olds. A lot of people seemed to have less trouble with Olds than GM's other divisions. I was considering an Oldsmobile before I got my Sable just because of a lot of people's positive comments about them.

Well they have said this, oh, for every year for the past 8, so worry not.

It is kinda like all those EAGLES and ROLLING STONES tours that are the "farewell tours"

the olds will stick around.

I used to have an 81 cutlass, my first car ever, and it got ripped off.

I guess the commercials had a subliminal message when they said - "It's not your fathers oldsmobile".

Too bad if they do go, the olds ain't so bad.

NOW about that mitsubishi - GOOOOD Riddence!

The W41 Cutlass was a very cool car. Definitely way ahead of its time, 190hp with a 5 speed tranny = High 14's, which was as fast or faster than early 90's Mustang's & Camaro's.

My gf had an Oldsmobile Alero with the 2.4L Quad 4. Even with an automatic it ran reliable mid 16's, which isnt too shabby. It had its fair share or problems though.

I nearly bought a 98 Olds Aurora when I was car shopping before I bought my Taurus. It had very good power - 250hp 4.0L DOHC V8 (called the Baby NorthStar). The engine actually had "made by Cadillac" on it. B) I also test drove an Intrigue and it was a very nice car for the money. It definitely looked tons better than any of it's siblings (Regal, Gran Prix, Century). I got my Taurus because for the same money I could get a brand new car.

I'll take my gf to the museum eventually as she still has a soft spot for Oldsmobile. :p

And they should have definitely killed Buick instead. All of their current cars are an embaressment compared to what Olds could, did, and would have done.

Here's some interesting cars most of you probably dont know about:

What are you talking about??? The OFFICIALLY ended production the other day. It was the LAST oldsmobile off the line...thats why its going in a museum. The plant is now shut down and all Oldsmobile dealers are being shut down after the current cars they have are sold...
